For each of these routes we have options of different lengths and styles.
If the term STAGE confuses you, it simply indicates that in the proposal the accommodation is always the same. In other words, all the stages start from the same hotel where we stayed.
If you want to extend your vacation, you can combine different STAGES until you achieve the desired number of days.

Situado practicamente en el centro del PIRINEO NAVARRO, en este STAGE tendrémos la oportunidad de recorrer 3 zonas geográficas claramente diferenciadas.
- Zona 1: Selva de Irati y montañas de la Divisoria Pirenaica.
- Zona 2: Montañas del Valle de Artze y de la Cuenca del Irati.
- Zona 3: Montes de Roncesvalles, Valle vasco/francés de Kintoa y bosques del Quinto Real.
Zona 1: Las etapas de esta zona 1 combinan las montañas de la divisoria pirenaica al este de Roncesvalles y los bosques de la Selva de Irati.
Hemos diseñado 6 variaciones de ruta que oscilan entre los 34 kms de recorrido y 885 ms de desnivel de la opción más suave a los 74 kms y 1.720 ms de la más exigente.
En la vertiente sur del Pirineo Navarro y bajo la mole del Ori; la Selva de Irati, el territorio que toca para este día.
Entramos al PIRINEO NAVARRO "profundo".
En la divisoria de aguas del Pirineo y bajo los restos de la torre romana de Urkulu, el Col de Arnostegi. Un desconocido "coloso" pirenaico para el ciloturismo de carretera.
Colegiata de Roncesvalles, uno de los lugares fundamentales de la historia de Navarra.
Caminos en la orilla del Pantano de Irabia, corazón de la Selva de Irati.
Tiempo de ocres en el PIRINEO NAVARRO.
Comienza el otoño en los pastizales de Irati.

Zona 2: Las etapas de esta zona 2 giran alrededor de la calzada romana del Valle de Artze y del monte Corona, balcón de la Cuenca del Irati y del solitario PREPIRINEO NAVARRO,.
Hemos diseñado 8 variaciones de ruta que oscilan entre los 38 kms de recorrido y 970 ms de desnivel de la opción más suave a los 61 kms y 1.700 ms de la más exigente.
Ladera norte del Monte La Corona, eje principal de las rutas de esta Zona 2 del BIKE STAGE RONCESVALLES. A sus pies, Garralda, modelo de pueblo pirenaico navarro.
Típicos senderos "alfombrados" del PIRINEO NAVARRO.
Vista del semidesértico Valle de Arce desde la amplia meseta cimera del desconocido monte La Corona. Comienza un comodo y largo descenso.
Vertiente oeste de la cima del día; La Corona / Erratzu. Comodos prados con mucho "flow" que utilizamos en el descenso hacia los pueblos de Arrieta y Villanueva de Arce.

Muy a menudo el final de la temporada se convierte en el momento estrella para lo nuestro.Valle de Artze
Poco acostumbrados a ver personas en esta etapa por el desconocido sur prepirenaico, los animales tienen por aquí un "punto" de salvajes.

Descendiendo hacia Oroz-Betelu, el Río Irati se esfuerza por hacerse ver en la densidad boscosa a la que el mismo contribuye.

Zona 3: Las etapas de esta zona 3 combinan las montañas de la divisoria pirenaica al oeste de Roncesvalles con el Vasco/francés y pastoríl valle de Kintoa y las estribaciones de los bosques del Quinto Real.
Hemos diseñado unas 12 variaciones de ruta que oscilan entre los 27 kms de recorrido y 725 ms de desnivel de la opción más suave a los exigentes -por su trazado- 52 kms y 2.060 ms de la más dura.
PIRINEO NAVARRO al oeste de Roncesvalles. Terreno de "encargo" para el BTT.
La bien estructurada interpretación insitu denominada como "Arqueología de la Guerra" desarrollada por el Proyecto RAK en las montañas cercanas a Burguete nos ayudará a comprender aspectos relacionados con los búnkeres de la Linea P - como este de la foto - y otros relacionados con los restos de los fuertes que se intuyen en las cimas de muchas de estas montañas y vinculados a las diferentes guerras con los franceses.
Ascenso exigente entre el Albergue de Sorogain y la cima de Mendiaundi.
Comienza el descenso hacia Roncesvalles por las laderas del Pico Mendiaundi -Monte Grande-.
Usa el zoom. Bunker de ametralladora en el Centro de la belleza extrema.
Descomunal "cencellada" en la vertiente norte del Adi, bunker de la Línea P y "flow Pirineum Navarrorum". Estamos ya en el limite oeste del BIKE STAGE RONCESVALLES, en las estribaciones de los centenarios bosques del Quinto Real.
Sendero por la ladera oriental del Adi. Nos encontramos en la cota más elevada de la ruta.

Cuando la oferta hotelera lo permite ofrecemos 2 niveles de alojamiento; Nivel superior y Nivel estándar (básico).

- Ideal bike: The Stages are offered for different types of MTB, so obviously the ideal bike will be the one that best suits the style you choose.
- Best time to go: The route can be done once the snow disappears in the highest mountains of the route. From there, we dare not say that one era is better than another. It really depends on the specific weather of the days we choose.
Do not underestimate the weather, not even in the middle of summer. The conditions -especially in the Pyrenees- can be identical to those of the Central Pyrenees. To summarize... our advice is: bring even the long culotte and if it doesn´t come out from the suitcase, all the better.
In summer it is necessary to be aware of the possibility of storms -frequent in the afternoons-. - Orientation: The route must be followed with a GPS device or with the mobile phone App that you are used to using for the same purpose.
It is not advisable to try to learn how to use an App on the fly.
We do not provide Apps or GPS user manuals. It is up to the users to have this knowledge.
There is no on-site signage. - Provisioning: In most of the stages we will find towns with water and other services without too many difficulties. However, there may be exceptions to take into account.
- Philosophy: The philosophy of the route is to make "sport bicycle touring" but trying that at the end of the day there is still enough energy for something else besides resting until dinner. This is done to allow us at the end to have enough time to be able to learn - even slightly - where we are.

In these proposals when the groups are odd, the accommodation is offered in double rooms and a single room.

General information about the MTB Forests of Navarra BIKE STAGES
The BIKE STAGES Forests of Navarra are a series of MTB Circular Routes - starting and ending in the same hotel - for pedaling through some of the most emblematic sites of the NAVARRE PYRENEES.
The common denominator of all of them is the great wooded mass and the mountain meadows that are interspersed in a sequence -forest/meadow- that will not leave us at any time.
The territories included -all of them in the north of Navarra- are, among others, the Urbasa - Andia Range and the unknown Lokiz in the North. The Aralar Range and the regions of Basaburua and Baztan in the center, and the forests of Quinto Real, Roncesvalles and the Irati Forest in the East.
The PIRINEOS PUNTO BIKE proposal to visit the area is, broadly speaking, a Self-Guided route pack which includes Accommodation, a Map -sketch- of each day´s route, the Tracks of the route for devices GPS, and -most importantly- Counseling on which are the best route options for each day of the STAGE based on your cyclist profile.
The level of demand of the routes -we always talk about MTB routes- is on average what we could call Medium / High level, with all the nuances that said definition hides, and without entering except for rare and warned exceptions in the field of Enduro.
