MAGIA NATURAL EREMUA-IRATI es una ruta de ciclismo All Mountain por etapas localizada en el conocido como Pirineo Vasco. Une con su pedaleo el Centro de BTT y Trail EREMUA con las montañas de Roncesvalles y la Selva de IRATI.
...
Enmarcado entre las grandes masas boscosas de Irati en el este y Anué en el oeste, hace acto de presencia un segmento del PIRINEO de baja altitud y formas redondeadas.
Lo delata un paisaje fácilmente reconocible por su característica sucesión de hayedos, prados, rebaños, cimas alomadas, algún roquedo, cabañas de pastores y pueblos de montaña ubicados en cotas relativamente altas.
El binomio de recursos naturales y baja altitud ha dado pie a que desde antiguo este sea un territorio altamente humanizado y -lo que a nosotros más nos importa- transitado.
El legado de los caminos surgidos de la actividad pastoril, del aprovechamiento del bosque, del contrabando y del transito de personas al margen de la legalidad fronteriza, ha generado lo que sin exageraciones podríamos denominar como un "microclima" para el ciclismo de montaña.
Si a este "microclima" añadimos el trabajo realizado en su área por el Centro de Trail y BTT EREMUA, y especialmente el de bikers locales que altruistamente se implican en el mantenimiento, la creación y la recuperación de senderos en un territorio que presienten como especialmente "dotado" para la práctica del MTB, el resultado "natural" es:

The experience offered by PIRINEOS PUNTO BIKE consists, in broad terms, of a Self-Guided Tour pack. This includes Accommodations, the GPS Tracks for the route, a detailed map-sketch with alternatives for each stage, and Luggage Transport from hotel to hotel.

The lines on this map are just one of many options. Unlike the usual routes by stages. MAGIA NATURAL has a less strict and defined itinerary, since the geography here is quite generous and that allows the routes to be adapted to the level and cycling style of the participants.
MAGIA NATURAL PLUS track
Depending on the sporting level of the participants, the route can be lengthened and the accommodation in Burguete replaced by the one in the Larraun neighborhood, closer to IRATI. In this option of MAGIA NATURAL, stages B and D -especially the last one- are quite demanding in terms of sports and you will have to be well trained to finish them in good condition.

This data is just a mere reference to help you get an idea of the possibilities. For some of the stages we have up to 10 track versions depending on the accommodation, the desired hardness and -when possible- the type of cycling that best suits yours; Enduro, All Mountain, Trail ...
The antiquity of the Navarrese Pyrenees with respect to the rest of the mountain range is the cause of those soft and hilly forms -simply more eroded by the elements- that give way to the "potential" of MAGIA NATURAL.

Si hemos elegido la versión estándar con alojamiento en Burguete o Espinal, esta será una de las posibles etapas si querémos llegar hasta Las Casas de Irati. Cuando el recorrido resulta demasiado exigente se inicia el retorno en el Pantano de Irabia.
Si hemos elegido la versión PLUS con alojamiento en Irati -Barrio Larraun-, esta será una de las posibles etapas.

Un baño de "singletracks"
EREMUA es la "Zona Cero" del ciclismo de montaña en NAVARRA, un Centro de BTT con caminos preparados a conciencia por un equipo de entusiastas "bikers" navarros.
La etapa A de MAGIA NATURAL da pie a dedicar una jornada a recorrer los mejores SingleTracks de la zona antes de partir hacia IRATI en la siguiente etapa.
En función de vuestro perfil os aconsejaremos un track u otro. Resultará realmente difícil quedar defraudado... saltos, peraltes, rutas fáciles, rutas duras y encadenamientos espectaculares están simplemente esperando.
Ascendiendo a Burdindogi por la ruta Sugea.
Descendiendo la ruta Carboneras en día de "cencellada".
Finalizando King Cobra, una de las "estrellas" de EREMUA.
Cima de Leateko Gaina, a nuestros pies, 600 metros de hayedos y singletracks más abajo, el Embalse de Eugi nos espera.
Descensos "alfombrados" en las rutas Carboneras y Magnun.

Cencellada, bunker de la Línea P y flow Pirineum Navarrorum. Magia en BASOAK MTB
Collado de Aratun, referencia geográfica del macizo del Adi.
Sendero por la ladera oriental del Adi. Nos encontramos en la cota más elevada de la ruta.
Ascenso exigente entre el Albergue de Sorogain y la cima de Txasperro
Espectaculo bajo las laderas de Mendiaundi
Comienza el descenso hacia Roncesvalles por las laderas del Pico Mendiaundi.
La Colegiata de Roncesvalles en su ambiente.
Abandonamos Roncesvalles y nos dirigimos hacia el final de etapa en la entrada de la Selva de Irati.
Secciones de "flow" en el descenso hacia la antigua fábrica de armas de Orbaitzeta.
Fábrica de armas de Orbaitzeta, estamos muy cerca del final de etapa, de manera que podemos "perdernos" un rato entre sus ruinas y su historia.

La etapa recorre casi en su totalidad la Sierra de Abodi. A menudo esta se convierte en el límite de la "txapela" de nubes que emerge de la vertiente norte.
Para alcanzar el Alto de Tapla y montarnos definitivamente en lo alto de la Sierra de Abodi habrá que superar tramos exigentes por pistas ganaderas.
Cuando la "txapela" de niebla hace acto de presencia el paisaje cambia.
Durante una breve sección del track, por encima del Puerto de Tapla deberemos empujar nuestras bicis.
En las laderas del Pico Idorrokia podremos seguir pedaleando.
Secciones de All Mountain en la parte alta de la sierra. Momentos difíciles de olvidar.
Llegada a los 1.532 metros de altitud de la cima del Abodi, cota máxima de la etapa y de toda la ruta.
Espectacular panorama desde la cima con el Pico de Ori - primer 2.000 de la cordillera - a la izquierda, y las montañas principales de los Pirineos Atlánticos monopolizando el resto del horizonte.
Últimos metros por el eje de la Sierra de Abodi bajo la vigilancia del cada vez más presente Pico de Ori.
Descenso por pistas de esqui nórdico hasta el punto más oriental de MAGIA NATURAL, el Centro de esqui y de montaña de Pikatua.
Escenas cotidianas en las laderas del Okabe en la variante norte de la etapa.
Uno de los más impresionantes conjuntos megalíticos de los Pirineos. Los 26 cromlechs de Hilarrita en las inmediaciones de la cima de Okabe.
Euforia de cima. La cumbre del Okabe sobrevuela la Selva de Irati.

Escenas de la ruta a su paso bajo la Torre de Urkulu.
Cima de Astobizkar con su señalización de elementos de Arqueología de la guerra. Bajo sus laderas un río de peregrinos. El Camino de Santiago entra en Navarra.
Puerto de Ibañeta entre Orreaga-Roncesvalles y Valcarlos. Su condición de paso natural utilizado desde la prehistoria entre las 2 vertientes del Pirineo lo convierten en el imaginario colectivo en un lugar vinculado a la Batalla de Roncesvalles.
Ascenso a Lindus desde Ibañeta, nos alejamos del Camino de Santiago...
y continuamos por nuestro Pirineo Navarro "profundo".
Entre el Alto de Lindus y el Collado de Aldaparri el paisaje no tendrá desperdicio.
Descenso endurero en las laderas del Aldaparri.
Entramos en los bosques del Quinto Real.
Secciones de flow en los prados de Txasperro previos al largo descenso endurero a Urepel, otra de las estrellas del día.
Potente descenso hacia Urepel.
Interiores de la vertiente norte del Pirineo vasco/francés. Caminos del territorio conocido como Quinto Norte.
Para los amantes del enduro, final tirando a épico por las trazas balizadas de la ruta Nafar-Whistler.

In the rural world that our routes run through, hotel establishments are usually small. It is often difficult to book the sequence of accommodations necessary to complete a Pack, especially if the number of participants in a group is a bit high.
Booking in advance is often the key. It is not a commercial trick on our part. Many times, that reservation with enough time in advance is simply the difference between being able or not being able to reserve the Pack.

Add night at the end of the route
And you can add a Night with Breakfast at the end of the route -in the same hotel where you started it- for 56 € per person in a double room or for 95 € in a single room.
In these proposals when the groups are odd, the accommodation is offered in double rooms and a single room.
- TRIPLE ROOMS ARE NEVER USED -
If you want the price of the Pack to be cheaper, perhaps we can lower the level of one of the chosen hotels. And also, if the number of participants is odd; request a triple room.
- This management is only done once the Pack has been contracted -
Rates for the whole year, subject to availability.
The prices may vary when the dates coincide with the Easter holidays or with the Patron Festivities of any of the places of accommodation.

- Presentation of the route and delivery of information in hand the day of the arrival of the group to the hotel or the morning of the next day when groups are of 6 or more people

If possible, we will try to help you in case of a breakdown, but in many situations this help can be very limited due to lack of specific spare parts or other circumstances. - Best time to go: The route can be done once the snow disappears in the highest mountains of the route. From there, we dare not say that one era is better than another. It really depends on the specific weather of the days we choose.
Do not underestimate the weather, not even in the middle of summer. The conditions -especially in the Pyrenees- can be identical to those of the Central Pyrenees. To summarize... our advice is: bring even the long culotte and if it doesn´t come out from the suitcase, all the better.
In summer it is necessary to be aware of the possibility of storms -frequent in the afternoons-. - Type of tracks: Casi todas las etapas se caracterizan por "sobredosis" de senderos. Esto hace que la duración de las etapas resulte ser habitualmente mayor que lo que las cifras técnicas de la misma nos pueden sugerir.
Deberemos recorrer algunas secciones de carretera por los condicionantes geográficos que genera la ubicación de los hoteles. - Ideal bike: Preferably a dual suspension MTB bike.
- Orientation: The route must be followed with a GPS device or with the mobile phone App that you are used to using for the same purpose.
It is not advisable to try to learn how to use an App on the fly.
We do not provide Apps or GPS user manuals. It is up to the users to have this knowledge.
There is no on-site signage. - Ciclability: Depending on the technical skills and strength of each person, the route is 98%.
- Provisioning: Although we sometimes find refreshment points, depending on the time of year we may find that some establishments are closed. The documentation we provide at the start of the route provides information on the options at each stage.
