For each of these routes we have options of different lengths and styles.
If the term STAGE confuses you, it simply indicates that in the proposal the accommodation is always the same. In other words, all the stages start from the same hotel where we stayed.
If you want to extend your vacation, you can combine different STAGES until you achieve the desired number of days.

Si en tu juventud viste la película del director Montxo Armendariz titulada Tasio, tal vez ha llegado el momento de visitar los bosques en los que ardian sus carboneras, en otras palabras: Darte una vuelta por LAS AMÉSKOAS.
Si no la viste, ya intuyes que los escenarios y localizaciones de la película deben de tener algo a tener en cuenta.
Este STAGE se desarrolla por los bosques y sierras de la parte más occidental de Navarra. Tendrémos la oportunidad de realizar hasta 4 etapas sin repetir zonas geográficas salvo en algún punto muy concreto en las cercanías del hotel.

- Zona 2: Sierra de Urbasa este y Sierra de Andia en las opciones de etapa más largas.

Hemos diseñado 3 variaciones de ruta que oscilan entre los 34 kms de recorrido y 885 ms de desnivel de la opción más suave a los 74 kms y 1.720 ms de la más exigente.

En Urbasa el ganado está bien acostumbrado a los bikers. Estamos en uno de los Parques Naturales más visitados de Navarra.

Zona 2: Sierra de Urbasa Este, y Sierra de Andia en las opciones de etapa más largas.
Hemos diseñado 4 variaciones de ruta que oscilan entre los 38 kms de recorrido y 970 ms de desnivel de la opción más suave a los 61 kms y 1.700 ms de la más exigente.

Hemos diseñado unas 6 variaciones de ruta que oscilan entre los 27 kms de recorrido y 725 ms de desnivel de la opción más suave a los exigentes -por su trazado- 52 kms y 2.060 ms de la más dura.

Para el BIKE STAGE LAS AMEZKOAS el alojamiento lo planteamos en el
Hotel Ibaisek de Zudaire.
En este STAGE ofrecemos además 2 niveles de alojamiento; Nivel 1 (superior) y Nivel Luxury (en preparación) como opción para grupos muy reducidos.
Conocida por su "Balcon de Pilatos" - el muro de la imagen - y por el nacedero del Urederra - situado bajo dichos muros - la pequeña localidad de Zudaire, encajonada entre las Sierras de Urbasa al norte y Lokiz al sur atesora un potencial insospechado para el BTT.
No es en absoluto frecuente encontrar un PUNTO desde el que se puedan realizar hasta 4 etapas diferentes -y por diferente geografía - sin cambiar de alojamiento. Y si además dicho alojamiento ofrece el servicio requerido por cualquier ciclista y una calidad en su gastronomía absolutamente contrastada, no queda duda de que nos encontramos en una de las opciones "estrella" de los STAGES Bosques de Navarra.

- Ideal bike: The Stages are offered for different types of MTB, so obviously the ideal bike will be the one that best suits the style you choose.
- Best time to go: The route can be done once the snow disappears in the highest mountains of the route. From there, we dare not say that one era is better than another. It really depends on the specific weather of the days we choose.
Do not underestimate the weather, not even in the middle of summer. The conditions -especially in the Pyrenees- can be identical to those of the Central Pyrenees. To summarize... our advice is: bring even the long culotte and if it doesn´t come out from the suitcase, all the better.
In summer it is necessary to be aware of the possibility of storms -frequent in the afternoons-. - Orientation: The route must be followed with a GPS device or with the mobile phone App that you are used to using for the same purpose.
It is not advisable to try to learn how to use an App on the fly.
We do not provide Apps or GPS user manuals. It is up to the users to have this knowledge.
There is no on-site signage. - Provisioning: In most of the stages we will find towns with water and other services without too many difficulties. However, there may be exceptions to take into account.
- Philosophy: The philosophy of the route is to make "sport bicycle touring" but trying that at the end of the day there is still enough energy for something else besides resting until dinner. This is done to allow us at the end to have enough time to be able to learn - even slightly - where we are.

Taking into account that most of the users have their own vehicle at the STAGE point, we have considered it interesting to leave open the possibility of not "forcing" you to have dinner at the assigned hotel.

General information about the MTB Forests of Navarra BIKE STAGES
The BIKE STAGES Forests of Navarra are a series of MTB Circular Routes - starting and ending in the same hotel - for pedaling through some of the most emblematic sites of the NAVARRE PYRENEES.
The common denominator of all of them is the great wooded mass and the mountain meadows that are interspersed in a sequence -forest/meadow- that will not leave us at any time.
The territories included -all of them in the north of Navarra- are, among others, the Urbasa - Andia Range and the unknown Lokiz in the North. The Aralar Range and the regions of Basaburua and Baztan in the center, and the forests of Quinto Real, Roncesvalles and the Irati Forest in the East.
The PIRINEOS PUNTO BIKE proposal to visit the area is, broadly speaking, a Self-Guided route pack which includes Accommodation, a Map -sketch- of each day´s route, the Tracks of the route for devices GPS, and -most importantly- Counseling on which are the best route options for each day of the STAGE based on your cyclist profile.
The level of demand of the routes -we always talk about MTB routes- is on average what we could call Medium / High level, with all the nuances that said definition hides, and without entering except for rare and warned exceptions in the field of Enduro.
