For each of these routes we have options of different lengths and styles.
If the term STAGE confuses you, it simply indicates that in the proposal the accommodation is always the same. In other words, all the stages start from the same hotel where we stayed.
If you want to extend your vacation, you can combine different STAGES until you achieve the desired number of days.

Situado en el centro del PIRINEO NAVARRO, y concentrado especialmente en la SELVA de IRATI, en este STAGE tendrémos la oportunidad de recorrer 3 zonas geográficas claramente diferenciadas.
- Zona 1: Sierra de Abodi
- Zona 2: Divisoria Pirenaica - Okabe
- Zona 3: Montes de Roncesvalles
Zona 1 SIERRA DE ABODI
Las etapas de esta Zona 1 convergen en todas sus opciones en la espina dorsal de la Sierra de Abodi.
En la vertiente sur del Pirineo Navarro y bajo la mole del Ori; la Selva de Irati, vista desde lo alto de la Sierra de Abodi, el territorio que toca para este día.
La Sierra de Abodi es la "espina dorsal" de la etapa de hoy. A menudo, cuando sopla viento de norte, la Sierra se convierte en el límite de la "boina" de nubes que llega desde la vertiente norte.
Cuando la "boina" de niebla hace acto de presencia el paisaje cambia.
Primeros metros por el eje de la Sierra de Abodi bajo la vigilancia del Pico de Ori.
Llegada a los 1.532 metros de altitud de la cima del Abodi, cota máxima del día
Espectacular panorama desde la cima con el Pico de Ori - primer 2.000 de la cordillera - a la izquierda, y las montañas principales de los Pirineos Atlánticos monopolizando el resto del horizonte.

Zona 2 DIVISORIA PIRENAICA - OKABE
Caminos en la orilla del Pantano de Irabia, primeros kilómetros por la Selva de Irati.
Escenas cotidianas en las laderas del Okabe.
Uno de los más impresionantes conjuntos megalíticos de los Pirineos. Los 26 cromlechs de Hilarrita en las inmediaciones de la cima de Okabe.
Coronando la cima del Okabe sin bajarnos de la bicicleta. Cuando la niebla no lo impide, sus 1466 metros de altitud y su ubicación en el centro del eje pirenaico conforman un mirador espectacular.

Zona 3 MONTES DE RONCESVALLES
Las etapas de esta zona 3 combinan las montañas de la divisoria pirenaica con los bosques de Roncesvalles.
Collado de Arnostegi bajo los restos de la torre romana de Urkulu. En el horizonte los 2000 metros del Pico de Ori.
En las inmediaciones de Lepoeder compartiremos ruta durante un tiempo con los peregrinos de Camino de Santiago.
Puerto de Ibañeta entre Orreaga-Roncesvalles y Valcarlos. Su condición de paso natural utilizado desde la prehistoria entre las 2 vertientes del Pirineo lo convierten en el imaginario colectivo en un lugar vinculado a la Batalla de Roncesvalles.
Colegiata de Roncesvalles, uno de los lugares fundamentales de la historia de Navarra.

- Ideal bike: The Stages are offered for different types of MTB, so obviously the ideal bike will be the one that best suits the style you choose.
- Best time to go: The route can be done once the snow disappears in the highest mountains of the route. From there, we dare not say that one era is better than another. It really depends on the specific weather of the days we choose.
Do not underestimate the weather, not even in the middle of summer. The conditions -especially in the Pyrenees- can be identical to those of the Central Pyrenees. To summarize... our advice is: bring even the long culotte and if it doesn´t come out from the suitcase, all the better.
In summer it is necessary to be aware of the possibility of storms -frequent in the afternoons-. - Orientation: The route must be followed with a GPS device or with the mobile phone App that you are used to using for the same purpose.
It is not advisable to try to learn how to use an App on the fly.
We do not provide Apps or GPS user manuals. It is up to the users to have this knowledge.
There is no on-site signage. - Provisioning: In most of the stages we will find towns with water and other services without too many difficulties. However, there may be exceptions to take into account.
- Philosophy: The philosophy of the route is to make "sport bicycle touring" but trying that at the end of the day there is still enough energy for something else besides resting until dinner. This is done to allow us at the end to have enough time to be able to learn - even slightly - where we are.

General information about the MTB Forests of Navarra BIKE STAGES
The BIKE STAGES Forests of Navarra are a series of MTB Circular Routes - starting and ending in the same hotel - for pedaling through some of the most emblematic sites of the NAVARRE PYRENEES.
The common denominator of all of them is the great wooded mass and the mountain meadows that are interspersed in a sequence -forest/meadow- that will not leave us at any time.
The territories included -all of them in the north of Navarra- are, among others, the Urbasa - Andia Range and the unknown Lokiz in the North. The Aralar Range and the regions of Basaburua and Baztan in the center, and the forests of Quinto Real, Roncesvalles and the Irati Forest in the East.
The PIRINEOS PUNTO BIKE proposal to visit the area is, broadly speaking, a Self-Guided route pack which includes Accommodation, a Map -sketch- of each day´s route, the Tracks of the route for devices GPS, and -most importantly- Counseling on which are the best route options for each day of the STAGE based on your cyclist profile.
The level of demand of the routes -we always talk about MTB routes- is on average what we could call Medium / High level, with all the nuances that said definition hides, and without entering except for rare and warned exceptions in the field of Enduro.
